5005 PRIME is a single-component, water borne primer-surfacer with a VOC as applied of 1.1 lbs/gal designed to be used in VOC regulated regions. 5005 PRIME is packaged ready-to-spray and has excellent adhesion to fiberglass and OEM surfaces. 5005 PRIME provides excellent filling, sanding, corrosion protection and topcoat holdout. It is an ideal substitute for lacquer primer-surfacers where fast dry and quality performance are required.

None required - use at package consistency* *An additional 10% of deionized water may be added to adjust viscosity. Caution: Over-reduction will dramatically lower viscosity and sacrifice application properties.

Siphon Feed Apply 2 or more medium wet coats 35-40 psi (use 8 - 9 psi for HVLP) Gravity Feed Apply 2 or more medium wet coats 35-40 psi Time to sand: 30-45 min (minimum) @ 70º

1.	Allow 5005 PRIME to dry for a minimum of 30-45 minutes before sanding. Cool temperatures or high film thickness will extend this time.
2.	5005 PRIME may be directly recoated after sanding with Tec/AQUA™ Low VOC Primer-Sealer or any Martin-Senour topcoat.

	Clean equipment immediately with water or KLEANZ-EASY II™ 6388 followed by lacquer thinner.
	Finish sand with 320 or finer grit treated sandpaper.
	Do not blow dry with gun air or cracking may occur.
	Remove sanding residue with Tec/CLEAN® 6384 or a damp (with water) rag before recoating.
	Recommended dry film thickness is 2.0-2.5 mils after sanding. Home
