Problem:

• Air quality regulations in California where requiring 95% VOC reduction from a specific class of manufactures.

Solution:

• Chemists from Sherwin-Williams developed a 0.5 lbs/gal voc primer and a 0.8 lbs/gal single-stage topcoat to help its customers avoid the high cost of abatement systems. The new primer and topcoat have similar performance and durability to 2.8 Genesis. The coatings allowed customers to continue operating in California with out sacrificing profit or productivity.
