Course Cost:  $175.00

Overview:

This course will introduce each student to the fundamentals and fine details of color adjustment and blending.  The course will be divided evenly between the classroom for procedures and theory, and the workshop for practical shop experience.

Lunches will be provided each day.  Hours are 8:30 – 4:30 daily with dismissal by 3:00 on the final day.  All class participants will receive Personal Safety Equipment and a Color Adjustment Manual for use and future reference.

This class has been approved by I-CAR as part of the Industry Training Alliance Program and as such, qualifies each participant to apply for five (4.75) I-CAR Gold Class points.

• OEM finishes and repair decisions
• Equipment including HVLP
• Application and blending techniques
• Light sources & their effects on color
• Color theory
• Color adjustment procedures
• Alternate Color Selector
• Analysis of the formula
• Tinted undercoats & specialized clears
• Computer formula retrieval

Student Qualification:

This course is designed for the refinish technician or paint specialist requiring efficiency in color mixing and color adjustment.
