FORD MOTOR COMPANY GIVES TECHNICAL APPROVAL TO MARTIN SENOUR'S VORTEX® WATERBORNE PAINT SYSTEM
VORTEX Basecoat/Clearcoat Refinish Solution Meets Ford Global Specification
Warrensville Heights, Ohio – Ford Motor Company recently approved the VORTEX® waterborne refinish system from Martin Senour Paints for collision repair centers on a global basis. The VORTEX system has undergone the extensive technical certification process to meet the Ford WSS-M2P100-D standard. The Ford Group sets this technical standard to assure that its vehicles are repaired using automotive refinish products of the highest quality.
"Martin Senour Paints has continually demonstrated excellent performance in testing to our rigid paint specifications", said Gerry Bonanni, Ford Motor Company. "The new VORTEX system offers our Ford, Lincoln and Mercury dealerships an excellent option for this dynamic refinish solution".
Martin Senour Paints recently introduced VORTEX, the premier waterborne solution, which is an innovative waterborne basecoat/clearcoat system that utilizes a proprietary resin system that behaves like the solvent borne systems of today.
"We're delighted that the Ford Motor Company has recognized VORTEX as a premium waterborne solution," said Jason Crager, OEM Business Development Manager, Martin Senour Paints "Our goal in launching this product was to ease the fears and concerns body shop owners have in changing from a solvent to a waterborne system. Because VORTEX has solvent borne-like application properties, it ensures a seamless transition and conversion. Technicians will be familiar and comfortable with the process already, requiring minimal training and start-up costs."
Martin Senour Paints is committed to providing a waterborne solution that lowers emissions. Unlike solvent borne basecoats of the past, VORTEX ensures up to a 96 percent reduction in VOC emissions, compared to solvent borne coatings and also reduces hazardous waste generation. |
